Four children treated for hypothermia after lake rescue in Ellsworth

A group of kids who went missing were rescued from a lake in Ellsworth on Sunday.

The Ellsworth Fire Department received a call around noon from the Kids Peace group home, reporting that four 12-year-olds were missing. They were dressed in pajamas and not prepared for cold weather.

During a search, an officer spotted one of the children on Graham Lake.

Another child in the group had gone through the ice, while a third was found on a small island and the fourth was found nearby.

All four were rescued and treated for hypothermia.

Three were taken to the hospital but are expected to be okay.
