Four injured in single-vehicle crash in Clifton

CLIFTON, Maine (WGAN) The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says four people were injured in a crash in Clifton on Friday.

Police say they responded to the single-vehicle crash on Route 9 in Clifton around 10:45 a.m.

A vehicle heading west crossed over the eastbound lane and went off the road. It was heavily damaged.

Police said two males and two females were inside the vehicle. All four were taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center with various injuries.

The accident is being reconstructed and investigated by the Sheriff’s Office.

No other information was immediately available.
