WESTBROOK, Maine (WGAN) Police say students at Saccarappa School in Westbrook would not be returning to school Friday due to a gas leak.

Parents were told to pick up their children Friday morning at the Performing Arts Center at the Westbrook Middle School after the suspected gas leak was reported. Police said there were no injuries. The Westbrook Fire Department responded to the school.

According to our info partners at CBS 13 News, the gas leak was caused by snow that had been plowed into the gas service area, which damaged it. The leak was then fixed.

Police said students not picked up by parents would be bused home on the normal routes at noon.
