Gas prices continue to rise in Maine even as the national average falls.

GasBuddy says the state average is $3.95 for a gallon of regular gas, up 2 cents compared to last week.

Maine’s prices are up about 31 cents per gallon compared to a month ago and 52 cents higher than a year ago.

Nationally, prices are coming down, falling about 3 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.76 a gallon, according to our info partners at WGME-TV. That as the national average for diesel has risen 2 cents in the last week.

Experts predict we’ll see the most expensive Thanksgiving Day gas prices on record.
