Glenburn man accused of attacking family member with hatchet

A Glenburn man is behind bars after he allegedly attacked a family member with a hatchet.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Ethan Herbert is accused of striking a 59-year-old female family member Sunday night.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Herbert fled the scene but was taken into custody a short time later and faces domestic violence and attempted murder charges.
