Acton lawmaker and business owner dies at 66

A Maine lawmaker from Acton has died.

Governor Janet Mills issued a statement Monday following the death of Republican Rep. Ted Kryzak. He died Saturday, according to the Maine Legislature’s website. Kryzak, who was 66, was first elected in 2018. He served on the legislature’s Taxation Committee.

Gov. Mills said she was saddened to hear of his passing, and that he cared deeply for his neighbors, the people of Acton, Lebanon, and Shapleigh, representing them “with goodwill and unwavering dedication.”

Kryzak was a business owner, and served the community as a teacher and selectman in Acton. He leaves behind four children.
