Gov. Janet Mills has ordered all U.S. and state of Maine flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of the 10 people who were killed in a shooting at a ballroom dance club in Monterey Park, California.

The office of Gov. Mills said flags would be lowered statewide through Thursday.

The move is consistent with a directive by President Joe Biden to lower flags in honor of the victims of Saturday night’s shooting.
