Gov. Janet Mills has set aside half a million dollars in funding to attract more remote workers to Maine.

Gov. Mills says 30,000 people moved to Maine since the start of the pandemic, many of them choosing to work remotely. To attract more, the governor says she’s setting aside money from the Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan.

According to CBS 13 News, the grant funding will go to 11 businesses and organizations in the state so they can expand co-working spaces and continue recovering from the pandemic.
