HOLYOKE, Mass. (AP) The operator of New England’s power grid expects to have sufficient supplies to meet New England’s electric needs this winter.

ISO New England Inc. said Tuesday it anticipates smooth sailing under both normal conditions and short durations of extreme temperatures.

Weather conditions drive the need for electric power, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has projected a 40% likelihood for warmer-than-normal weather this winter.
