Hannaford Now Says Personal Info Compromised in November Cyberattack

The parent company of Hannaford grocery stores has confirmed that some customers’ personal information was compromised during a cyber breach that occurred in November.

The company, Ahold Delhaize, says the compromised information varies per person but includes Social Security and driver’s license numbers, home addresses, phone numbers, and health information.

The company says it has informed the people affected by the breach and is offering them complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services for two years.

Hannaford stores in Maine experienced a cyberattack in November that affected customers’ use of credit cards as well as pharmacy services and to-go orders.

Customers reported not having access to the services for several weeks after the breach.
