A 44-year-old Harrison resident was arrested early this morning after a chase involving both New Hampshire and Maine police.

According to a statement, New Hampshire State Police were trying to stop a pickup truck driven by Matthew Olsen just after midnight. Olsen had reportedly refused to stop for a local police department and rammed a cruiser during the pursuit.

After crossing over the border to Maine on I-95 northbound, Maine State Troopers eventually managed to stop him near the rest area in Kennebunk due to his tires getting damaged after driving over a curb.

Olsen was arrested on multiple charges including Operating Under the Influence. He’s since been taken to York County Jail, though not before being taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
