Health officials announce 2 new coronavirus-related deaths in Maine

The Maine Center for Disease Control announced Tuesday that two more people in Maine have died with COVID-19.

That raises the death toll in the state to 121.

The deaths reported Tuesday involved a woman in her 70s from Lincoln County and a man in his 70s from Androscoggin County.

More than 3,800 coronavirus cases have been reported in Maine since March, including 16 new cases announced Tueday.

Public health officials also reported 27 new recoveries. More than 3,300 Mainers have recovered from the virus.

There were 398 active cases on Tuesday, a decrease of 23 active cases since Monday.
