Help wanted: US Postal Service holds major hiring event in Maine

The U.S. Postal Service is holding a statewide hiring event this weekend.

The postal service is dealing with a severe staffing shortage.

According to CBS 13, the USPS has openings for carriers, mail handlers, automotive technicians and clerks.

Job fairs will be held Saturday at post office locations in Belfast, Blue Hill, Oakland, Camden, Freeport, Biddeford, Augusta and Portland.

Career counselors will be available at each site to help people through the application process.
