Hermon man arrested in connection with Bangor shooting


Bangor police took a shooting suspect into custody after a pursuit Wednesday night.

Police say 37-year-old Todd Whitman of Hermon was wanted for allegedly shooting someone on Franklin Street in Bangor Wednesday night. Whitman is accused of fleeing the scene and refusing to stop his vehicle after police attempted to stop him. The chase was terminated by police.

Whitman was later arrested after leaving a home in Hermon and returning to Bangor. He faces several charges.

The shooting victim was hospitalized and is expected to recover.
