Heroin and Suboxone Strips Seized After Traffic Stop

AUGUSTA, Maine (WGAN) Maine State Police say they seized heroin and suboxone strips from a car in Augusta on Sunday.

Police say they made contact with the vehicle on Stone Street around 7 P.M. on February 25th. A K-9 and Troopers searched the vehicle after a violation and found 9.5 grams of heroin, 3 suboxone strips and other drug paraphernalia.

23-year-old Benjamin York of Lewiston was arrested and charged with drug trafficking, as well as violating conditions of release.

York is being held at Kennebec County Jail on $150,000 bail.
