Hollis man accused of trying to strangle a woman

HOLLIS, Maine (WGAN) Police arrested a Hollis man who’s accused of trying to strangle a woman over the weekend.

Maine State Police says officers responded to a report of domestic violence at a home on Palmer Lane in Hollis on Sunday. They arrested 32-year-old Tyler Strout, who they say allegedly assaulted and tried to strangle a woman. He was charged with felony assault and taken to York County Jail. He was expected to appear in court Tuesday.

The victim was taken to the hospital but her condition was not known.
