Maine State Police say one person was killed in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Route 1 in Topsfield.

Police say it happened around 9:15 a.m. Thursday. 30-year-old Tyler Dwyer of Houlton was identified as the driver of a pickup truck heading south, which struck the tractor trailer heading north. Dwyer was pronounced dead at the scene, and his passenger was injured. The crash occurred in the northbound lane.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified as 58-year-old Gregory Worster of Kingman. Police did not provide details about his condition.

Police say failure to maintain the proper lane and fatigue appear to be factors in the crash.
