Iconic Portland diner to offer vaccinations next week

Photo: Northern Light Health

Mainers still looking to get vaccinated in the Portland area will soon be able to at a popular local diner.

Becky’s Diner will be among the new community-based vaccination clinics run by MaineHealth. Mainers can get the one shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine there on Wednesday, June 2nd and Thursday, June 3rd.

MaineHealth says that diner owner Becky Rand will be offering everyone who gets vaccinated a $15 Becky’s Diner gift card.

The move comes as healthcare providers shift away from large vaccine clinics like Scarborough Downs and the Portland Expo, and instead focus on getting people vaccinated in smaller settings that are more convenient and efficient.
