An inmate at the York County Jail died over the weekend.
York County Sheriff William King said Monday the inmate complained of a medical issue and was taken to a local hospital Saturday evening. He was then taken to Maine Medical Center where died Sunday around noon.
An autopsy is pending.
King says the inmate’s name will be released once next of kin are notified.
