Investigators say deadly house fire in Portland considered suspicious

Investigators say a fire at a Portland home Wednesday morning that left one person dead and at least one other injured is considered suspicious.

The Portland Fire Department says crews responded to the two-alarm fire at 107 Broadway around 8:30 a.m. They said one woman was found lying on the lawn and was taken to the hospital where she’s now in stable condition. Another person was found dead inside the home.

According to NEWSCENTER Maine, Portland police said the fire is considered suspicious. A Portland Police Crime Scene Unit was at the scene.
