Incumbent Jared Golden has officially won the race in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.

The final result came Wednesday evening, after two days of ranked choice tabulations in Augusta.

The final count put the democratic congressman ahead with about 53 percent of the vote.

Republican and former Congressman Bruce Poliquin finished with just under 47 percent of the vote.

The final tabulations were delayed until Wednesday due to technical issues.
