Jay has taken the top spot with the most COVID-19 per capita of Maine cities and towns

With 156 cases of COVID-19 per thousand residents, which is 16 percent of the total population, the town of Jay now has had the most COVID-19 of any Maine city or town since the beginning of the pandemic.  Rounding the top 5:

  1. Jay – 156 per 1,000
  2. Sanford – 154 per 1,000
  3. Mexico – 145 per 1,000
  4. Mechanic Falls – 145 per 1,000
  5. South Paris – 144 per 1,000

Portland is somewhere in the middle of the list with 93 cases per 1,000 and the town with the lowest number is Camden at 34 cases per 1,000.
