Jay man who allegedly swung wooden handle at officer faces charges

JAY, Maine (WGAN) Police in Jay arrested a man accused of slapping a family member and swinging a wooden handle at a police officer.

According to the Sun Journal, police responded to the home after a report of domestic violence. The officer who arrived says 72-year-old Ashley Wing swung at them when they got to the door.

Wing is charged with domestic violence assault, among other charges.
