AUGUSTA, Maine (WGAN) A juvenile has been charged after making a threat involving Cony High School.
Augusta Police say faculty at the school learned of an alleged threat involving a firearm on Tuesday that was made by one of their students.
As a result, police say the School Resource Officer started an investigation and identified the student responsible.
Police say the student was interviewed and it was determined that they were unlikely to act on the previous alleged threat. The juvenile male was then issued a juvenile summons for terrorizing and remained in the custody of his parents.
Police say the case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office and the juvenile Correction Officer for deposition.
