Police say a juvenile has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery last week at a Big Apple store in Augusta.
According to the Kennebec Journal, the suspect walked into the store on Stone St. and demanded cash and merchandise while brandishing a handgun.
The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over on Memorial Drive in Augusta, and that’s where the suspect was arrested and taken into custody Thursday.
The paper reports that this was at least the ninth robbery at that Big Apple location in the past eight years.
Last week’s robbery is still under investigation.
