A 14-year-old boy suffered stab wounds after an assault in Bangor.

Bangor Police Sergeant Jason McAmbley says officers responded to a report of a person having been assaulted with a knife near Langley Street, between Mitchell Street and Bolling Drive. The call came in around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday.

A 14-year-old male was found bleeding from his abdomen and was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police identified the suspect, another 14-year-old boy, and arrested him after executing a search warrant at a Bangor home on Wednesday.

The boy was taken to Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland, where he’s being held on a charge of elevated aggravated assault.
