Kennebunkport Police Report String of Car Thefts, Burglaries

Kennebunkport police are advising residents to take precautions after reporting “multiple reports” of car theft and burglaries in a 24 hour period over the weekend.

Officers are calling the incidents “crimes of opportunity,” as unlocked cars or visible belongings are easy targets.

They say people should always lock their cars and are encourage residents to consider investing in home security cameras with continuous recording capabilities.

Those systems can be incredibly helpful in identifying suspects and supporting investigations after crimes occur.

Kennebunkport Police are asking anybody wo notices suspicious activity to report it immediately to their dispatch center at 207-967-2454.
