An investigation into inappropriate conduct is underway in the Bucksport school district.

According to the Bangor Daily News, the district hired a law firm to investigate allegations of “inappropriate conduct by a staff member toward students.” The person under investigation has not been identified.

RSU 25 Superintendent James Boothby did not provide any details about the investigation. He told the BDN this is only the second time in his 15 years that he can recall bringing in an outside investigator to look into misconduct allegations.
