The ACLU of Maine has filed a lawsuit against five ICE agents on behalf of a man who was arrested in Portland during an immigration enforcement surge in January.

Juan Sebastián Carvajal-Muñoz says agents violated his constitutional rights by racially profiling him, using excessive force and detaining him without a warrant.

His lawyers say agents cut in front of his car, broke his window to pull him out of his vehicle then left the vehicle running in the middle of the street.

Carvajal-Muñoz is a Colombian citizen and civil engineer who was in the U.S. on a specialty work visa

ICE has not yet commented on the suit.
