Lewiston man pleads not guilty in deaths of man, teen in Poland

A Lewiston man pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder Wednesday.

Aaron Aldrich, 46, was indicted Tuesday by an Androscoggin County Grand Jury.

He’s accused in the deaths of 16-year-old Mohamed Aden of Lewiston and 21-year-old Shoeb Mohamed Adan of Springfield, Massachusetts.

The two were found dead by police during a welfare check at a home on Tripp Lake Road in Poland in February.

Aldrich appeared remotely in Androscoggin County Superior Court Wednesday, where he also pleaded not guilty to a charge of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Police have released no further details about the deaths of the two victims.
