A 28-year-old Maine man faces reckless conduct and aggravated assault charges after police say he shot a man outside a bar in Lewiston.

Officers say they were called to “The Cage”, at 97 Ash Street on a report of a man who had been shot outside the establishment.

Police say they arrived to find 29-year-old Mahad Mohamed on the side of the street suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where he received treatment for his non-life-threatening injury.

Officers say their investigation revealed Nathan Breton of Greene was arguing with Mohamed inside The Cage, and shot Mohamed when they went outside.

Lewiston Police say they tracked down and arrested Breton on charges of Reckless Conduct and Elevated Aggravated Assault. He was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail with a bail of $1,000.
