Lewiston police make two arrests related to shooting incident involving officer

Lewiston police have arrested and charged two men in connection with a shooting early Wednesday morning.

Police charged 27-year-old Joshua Boyd of Boston and 55-year-old Lee Davis of Lewiston following a shooting incident on Howe Street around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said Boyd fired shots at a Lewiston police officer who was responding to a report of someone being threatened with a gun.

The officer fired back while the two fled. Neither the officer nor the suspect were injured, according to police.
