Lightning strikes sparked fires at at least two homes as severe weather swept through the Sebago Lake area Tuesday night.

One of the fires was on Sleepy Hollow Road in Windham. Luckily, no one was in the home at the time.

Lightning struck a home in Naples as well. Naples Fire Chief Justin Cox tells CBS 13 the strike caused a fire on the second floor of the home.

No serious injuries were reported in connection to the severe weather.

Also, ferocious winds toppled trees and power lines, knocking out power to many homes in the region.

Central Maine Power reported a peak of just under 15,000 outages. The utility deployed 200 lineworkers and 60 contractors Wednesday morning to restore power.
