A Ukrainian man is settling a lawsuit against a Livermore couple he accused of labor trafficking.

Oleksandr Bulatov filed a civil complaint in federal court against Kathryn and Michael Cook, saying they forced him to work without pay for 15 months.

He also claimed the Cooks withheld more than $2,000 he received from Catholic Charities and refused to give his dog back to him when he left.

The Press Herald reports Bulatov dropped his case this week but has not revealed the terms of the settlement.
