Livermore Falls man accused of tying up, beating victim during home invasion

FARMINGTON, Maine (WGAN) A Livermore Falls man is facing kidnapping and robbery charges for his alleged role in a home invasion in Farmington earlier this month.

According to the Sun Journal, 43-year-old Jeromy Merchant was taken into custody on Monday.

Merchant is accused of beating up, tying up and threatening a 52-year-old man in the home with a shotgun.

According to an affidavit, the suspect stole a collection of silver and gold coins, as well as 17 guns from the home.

During their investigation, police later identified Merchant as the suspect.

According to CBS 13, police say Merchant has a history of burglary, theft, criminal mischief and assault convictions dating back to 2000.
