Police in Livermore Falls say they’re trying to find whoever’s responsible for throwing a knife through the window of a home.

Chief Ernest Steward says a resident was woken just before 1 a.m. Saturday when the knife was thrown through the window of the mobile home off Route 17.

The knife, which was taken as evidence, had a blade that was about 8 inches long with a 5-inch long handle, as well as a brass knuckle. It was also in a sheath.

The incident is under investigation.
