Those looking to take part in Maine’s moose hunt this fall can now apply for a permit.

According to the Bangor Daily News, Maine’s Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife still has not determined the exact number of permits that will be given out this year. 2,820 permits were allotted in 2019.

Those looking to get a permit can apply online for the lottery drawing. Entrants will need to select which season they would accept a permit in, and their preferred Wildlife Management Districts.

The deadline to enter is 11:59 p.m. on May 14th. The drawing will held June 13th at Sky Lodge in Jackman.
