Maine Army National Guard employee faces multiple sex charges

A man employed by the Maine Army National Guard who’s been charged with sex crimes has turned himself in.

According to the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Aaron Engroff of Augusta was charged with unlawful sexual contact and unlawful sexual touching. An investigation was launched in January.

Engroff turned himself in on Thursday. His bail was set at $1,000.

If he makes bail, Engroff would be prohibited from having contact with the victim or unsupervised contact with minors under the age of 14.

No other details about the investigation have been released.
