Maine’s coronavirus-related death toll has climbed to 519. That includes five new deaths that were announced by the Maine CDC Tuesday morning.

Health officials also reported 386 new cases.

The Maine CDC has recorded 34,262 cases of the virus since the pandemic began.

Of those cases, 28,034 are confirmed positives, while 6,228 are classified as probable cases.

The state’s seven-day average for new cases is 564.7, up from 538.1 a week ago and up from 445.9 one month ago.

Public health officials say 1,269 Mainers have been hospitalized at some point.
