Maine CDC reports 42 new cases, no new deaths

The Maine Center for Disease Control reported 42 new cases of coronavirus Saturday, bringing the total to 2,524 confirmed and probable cases.

Of those positive cases, more than 1,800 Mainers have recovered. The total recoveries, 48, topped new cases which has been a trend for several days.

No new deaths were reported from Friday’s total of 98.

Cumberland County had the most new cases and recoveries. The state’s most populated county now has 1,290 cases and 898 recoveries.

The Maine CDC reported an unchanged hospitalization number, still at 35 with one few patient is critical care for a total 13. The number of patients on ventilators also remained at seven.
