Maine CDC reports another coronavirus-related death

AUGUSTA, Maine (WGAN) State health officials reported Thursday that another Mainer has died with COVID-19.

The additional fatality brings the total number of deaths in Maine to 122.

The Maine CDC also reported 27 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.

Nearly 3,900 confirmed and probable cases have been reported in the state, but Maine is still among the states with the lowest death and infection rates in the country.

Maine reported 421 active cases of COVID-19, an increase of 12 cases since Wednesday.
