The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention is warning customers who visited a Circle K in Orono that they may have been exposed to hepatitis A.

Maine’s CDC said Wednesday the person who was infected is a food service worker at the store on Stillwater Avenue. They worked there and were potentially infectious between March 6th and 9th, the 13th through the 16th, and the 20th and 21st.

Anyone who may have eaten food or worked there between the 13th and 16th or the 20th and 21st are urged to get the hepatitis A vaccine to prevent illness.

Those who may have been exposed between the 6th and the 9th are outside the window for receiving the vaccine, which can only prevent illness within 14 days of exposure. Those individuals are urged to watch for symptoms and seek medical attention if they develop.
