Maine’s CDC says staff and customers at a Saco pizza joint may have been exposed to Hepatitis A.

Health officials said Tuesday they identified a single case in a worker at the Saco House of Pizza. The individual was infectious between August 5th and August 21st. They had access to the kitchen and were handling food, but not preparing any.

Any customers who came to the restaurant between August 18th and August 21st to get take-out, delivery, or curbside pickup are being urged to receive the hepatitis A vaccine, which is effective 14 days after exposure.

Anyone who was there between August 5th and 17th is urged to seek medical attention if any symptoms develop. Those include tiredness, nausea, low appetite, stomach pain, dark urine, or jaundice.
