Bates College says it’s sent several students home for violating coronavirus-related rules.

The college’s vice president for campus life said in an open letter on Friday that the students were sent home to continue learning remotely after violating multiple rules, including visiting residence halls they didn’t live in, hosting guests who are not students, and missing coronavirus testing appointments.

The school has not said how many students were sent home.
