Harold Buckmore, 80, of Belfast, was found severely hypothermic in a shallow ditch filled with water about a half mile from his home.

Buckmore was last seen by his wife at their home on Hunt Road when they went to bed around 10:30 p.m. last night. When his wife woke up around 3:00 a.m., she could not locate him and called police.

Several game wardens began their search around 4:30 a.m.

Game Warden K9 Storm and Game Warden Chad Robertson located Buckmore lying in the ditch in the woods about a half mile from his house at about 7:00 a.m. this morning.

He was transported to Waldo County General Hospital in stable condition.
