Maine Game Wardens have located the body of a missing 81-year-old man.

Wardens issued a Silver Alert for Robert Conrad of St. George. They say he went for a walk Wednesday afternoon near his home but had not been seen since.

A Warden located the man’s body around 10 a.m. Thursday.

Conrad suffered from dementia and wardens believe he became disoriented, ending up at the edge of a bog.

The suspected cause of death is hypothermia. His body will be examined by the state medical examiner.
