WARREN, Maine (AP) Maine police say a prison inmate who died last June at a minimum security facility in Warren was killed.

Police had been investigating the death of 28-year-old Dana Bartlett since his June 24 death.

Investigators have not released the cause of Bartlett’s death. No charges have been filed.

Last summer two former inmates at the prison say a guard ignored Bartlett’s repeated requests to be moved because he was scared of his cellmates.

Bartlett had been serving a 16-month sentence for theft and multiple driving infractions.
