A Maine lawmaker from Waldoboro will be arraigned Thursday on forgery charges.
According to the Portland Press Herald, Democratic Rep. Clinton Collamore Sr. is charged with 20 counts of aggravated forgery, 11 counts of unsworn falsification and one count of violating the Maine Clean Election Act.
Collamore is accused of forging more than 30 contributor signatures for his winning campaign, receiving more than $14,000 in Maine Clean Election Act funding.
Collamore will be arraigned in Lincoln County Superior Court.
Another legislative candidate, Republican Matthew Toth of Sanford, will be arraigned this week. Toth, who withdrew from a House race after being denied Clean Election Act funding, will be arraigned on Friday for forgery related to his campaign.
