A man from Lebanon, Maine has been arrested and charged in connection with the riots at the U.S. Capitol last month.

The FBI’s Boston Division said that 37-year-old Kyle Fitzsimons was taken into custody without incident on Thursday. He faces several charges, including assault on a federal officer, and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

The criminal complaint alleges that Fitzsimons was seen on video pushing and grabbing against officers who were holding a line in an entryway on the lower west terrace of the Capitol Building.

A photo of Fitzsimons appeared on an FBI Seeking Information poster before he was identified. A BOLO, or “Be On the Look Out” was issued. As a result, the FBI says a concerned citizen who recognized him from the photo reached out to them.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Fitzsimons was interviewed by the Rochester Voice, a New Hampshire newspaper, where he stated he attended President Trump’s rally at the Ellipse and walked over to the Capitol after the speeches ended.

In all, the FBI Boston Division says it’s now arrested five people in connection with the Capitol insurrection on January 6th.
