LITCHFIELD, Maine (AP) A Maine man who was charged with manslaughter has been found dead.

Authorities say they found Shawn Metayer on Tuesday in his home when responding to a report of an unattended death. Authorities say there was nothing suspicious at the scene and believe Metayer died from “a medical event.”

Metayer was charged with manslaughter and drunk driving after a head-on collision in November that killed two. State Police wrote in an affidavit that Metayer confessed to having three drinks and smelled of alcohol. Metayer’s blood-alcohol was twice the legal limit when tested.
